The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown
The Crazy World of Arthur Brown is an iconic British psychedelic rock band, founded in London in 1967 by the eccentric singer Arthur Brown. The group is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of shock rock and progressive rock.
In 1968, the band scored a massive worldwide hit with the single “Fire”, famous for its legendary opening line: “I am the God of Hellfire!” The song reached number one in the United Kingdom and Canada and number two on the US Billboard chart. Their self-titled debut album, co-produced by Pete Townshend of The Who, went on to become an absolute classic of the late-1960s psychedelic scene.
