RPWL
RPWL is a German progressive rock band.
Hailing from Freising, Bavaria, RPWL emerged from the band Violet District. In 1997, the band adopted its definitive name and initially performed music by one of their greatest influences, Pink Floyd. After three years, they left the covers behind and began concentrating on their own compositions, resulting in their debut album God Has Failed. The album was very well received within the progressive rock scene. Over the years, RPWL developed an increasingly distinctive sound. The influence of Pink Floyd remained present, but gradually moved further into the background.
For more than twenty years, this exceptional band, led by vocalist/keyboardist Yogi Lang and guitarist Kalle Wallner, has captivated fans around the world with epic soundscapes, emotional depth and a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends progressive rock with atmospheric art rock. Since their formation, RPWL have released ten studio albums and twelve live albums, establishing themselves firmly within the international progressive rock scene.
The new album is an atmospheric concept album filled with philosophical depth, powerful melodies and the unique musical magic for which RPWL have been acclaimed for many years. Fans can look forward to an intense live show featuring brand-new material, legendary classics and an audiovisual journey full of emotion.
